Bedtime Stories

 I have a story…

There was once a boy who fell in love with a girl, and the girl fell in love with the boy. For some time, they were beautiful together. For they loved with a love that was more than a love. They were among the heavenly things. They danced and the angels ran and hid their wings.

Then, they stopped dancing. And no one knows where the love that was more than a love that they had had gone.

The girl was told that there are things in life that she cannot have forever no matter how much she fought for it. The boy had to go to look for his Zahir.

For some time the girl was lost and she drifted across the universe not really knowing where she was going. Eventually, she turned into a rose… The Rose of Sharon.

The stars are telling me that she's still drifting across the universe at the moment. But we know stars see the future… and the stars tell me that the Rose of Sharon will eventually land and grow on a planet called B612 (which coincidentally, could stand for Birthday:June 12, the girl's birthday)… and on that planet, lives a Little Prince…

My Resolution

I am not going to dwell in the past–that is not where I am anymore.
I will live for the moment because here, and now, is where I am.

My future? Oh, he'll eventually come by.
